Huawei Mate 20 Vs. Huawei Mate 20 Pro: meets the future

Huawei Mate 20 Vs. Huawei Mate 20 Pro: meets the future

Huawei Mate 20 Pro can be a competitor for the best Mobile phone of the year, but its 1,049 Euro $1,217 price is eye-water. Regular Huawei Mate 20 starts with 799 Euros $ 927, which is still expensive but is probably used to pay for the smartphone at a great deal with consumers.

There is nothing to sneak into a 250-euro difference, but is there any significant downsides by choosing Huawei’s slightly more affordable new flagship phone?

Some hardware differences

As you would expect, there will be many internal hardware changes between the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro with some external changes.

According to the performance, both smartphones claim the same 7 nm Kirin 980 processing chip, which is now built on the most sophisticated SOC manufacturing technology on the market. 4 or 6 GB RAM options are great for the highest experience, and both models have 128GB of internal storage, with Huawei’s nano-memory sim slots for additional storage. Both phones perform well at the top of the market; there is no problem in pleasing the multi-taskers and gamers equally.

When it comes to their performance, then there are more meaningful differences. Mate 20 Pro provides a curved OLED panel, with a high resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 in the FHD + LCD panel. The resolution difference is not so short, but the curved panel makes Met 20 Pro a bit more attractive, and significantly, it captures thinner and more comfortable than the regular Met 20. The colours of the OLED panel pop saturate with a little extra, while the LCD panel is bright out, but there is little hot tint for it.

Pro’s in-display fingerprint scanners in Mate 20 are also missing, instead of selecting the back scanners under the camera. The small step means that the less sophisticated face is also unlocking technology, but it still works incredibly. Mate 20 has 4,000 mAh battery, while Huawei Mate 20 Pro hits 4,200 mAh. Both feature fast wireless charging at 15W, but only Pro can charge other QE-enabled devices through reverse wireless charging.

Although there is a win for the regular Mate 20, it has a headphone jack, while Pro depends on USB Type-C port or Bluetooth – potentially a deciding factor if you have a decent pair of wired headphones. Overall, Huawei Mate 20 Pro packs in some useful extras, but the main specifications are quite a match.

Huawei Mate 20 Vs. Huawei Mate 20 Pro: meets the future

Sufficient about the specifications, using this counting phone. While most experiences are the same, they feel like two separate phones in some ways.

Handling is the first significant difference. Mate 20 is more significant and carefully more extensive than Pro Pro. It looks like a big phablet like Mate 10. The Pro model handles like a Galaxy S or Note. It is a big difference that I can not use Mate 20 quite comfortably in one hand. However, if you are doing something after feeling a bigger screen, then it can work well for you.

After using the phone for a while, finally, I left the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in the fingerprint scanner. It works, but it is not fasting or forgiving as a traditional implementation, including scanners at the back of 20 years. This is good, but this is not a feature which I will buy Pro. Face unlocking is more convenient, works more consistently, and it is also faster. The new 3D nature of Pro’s face-scanning technique makes it even more secure.

Regular Huawei Mate 20 looks and feels like a traditional matte model, while Pro is close to Samsung Galaxy

In addition to beauty and feature differences, the use of two handsets seems very similar to day-to-day use. I spend much time reading online articles, watching funny YouTube videos, and if I have time, maybe a game or a clock in two. While simultaneously handling my use of these two handsets, I can expect – the performance of the Kirin 980 is excellent.

Battery life is not a problem. Both phones run for more days, and if you need them, they provide super charge top-ups faster. The 40W charging capability of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro phone can be completed by zero in just one hour, although both phones can return to their feet after only 30 minutes of a plug-in. You do not have to worry about Hawaii’s latest battery handset.

There is nothing to say about the software. From Android 9.0 Pie, both Huawei’s latest EMUI 9 runs, and with no app, I throw them. It is still Huawei’s best effort to organise the EMUI, and I do not have any complaints about this – apart from enabling the app drawer manually. Fortunately, the searchable settings help navigate that particular problem. The software experience is the same between the two, except the notification overflow, which is thanks to the profits of Pro.

There is a big difference in the camera

The camera is a big area of ?? discrimination between two Huawei Mate 20 phones. Although both of the third-generation cameras are set up, the Pro offers a much higher resolution 40 MP main sensor and a telephoto lens, which increases up to 3x negligent zoom. The main camera of the regular Mate 20 is a 12 MP case, in which instead of 20 MP wide angle lens, 16 MP and 8 MP telephoto lenses (offering only 2x reckless zoom).

There is no significant amount to tell between the camera sample taken on the full frame. Due to different grades and lenses, colour grading and saturation are slightly different between the two. Telephoto and main sensor photos come out very well, though both wide-angle cameras look much less detailed than their resolution suggestions. Extra width sometimes helps, but you would like to paste the main camera for most shots.

When zooming in and when taking a picture in low light the big difference between the camera becomes clear. The 3x zoom is spread over 2x, which results in some extra expansion distance captured. In low light, 40 MP of Huawei Mate 20 Pro can be switched to 10MP resolution with large 2.0um size pixels for excellent light capture. The final result is better exposure and less noise with dark shots with Pro models, and there is more shooting flexibility with 40 images in good lighting.

Hardware differences appear in different quality outputs, and Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a clear leadership. Fortunately, two cameras share the same software features. There is a hybrid zoom technology for a decent harmful zoom, all the way up to 5x, Night mode for impressive low light images. If you can still hold the camera, then AI colour saturation increases if you find that kind of thing, document scanning, Light painting, manual shooting options, and 3D Panorama.

Two types of premium experience

Despite the shared name, these are two beautiful phones. There is a real next-generation flagship; the second is already an excellent successor for the dear Matt 10. Individually, I can live without an in-display fingerprint scanner, 3D face recognition, and reverse wireless charging to save a pad of cash. The Pro is designed for those who want to spend big on bright flash ships. Huawei Mate 20 looks like a traditional big phablet.

If you are looking for a Best phone with a great camera, then choose Pro on the regular Mate 20. Although both phones are incredibly flexible, Pro produces better-looking shots and is better in low light. Regular model is a good shooter, but its triple camera is not as capable as the 40 MP composite packed inside the Pro model.

The price of Huawei Mate 20 is below Samsung Galaxy Note 9, while the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is more expensive, and it feels right about. Pro name is appropriate, it is a step above and beyond the significant flagship requirements and provides all the bells and whistles. This is a glimpse into the future: regular Huawei Mate 20 compromises something, but nails the critical specifications that most consumers want in a big flagship to justify their cost. Either it is a good purchase, it just depends on what you want from your smartphone.
